The “route of the stays” connects important livestock establishments in the area.
Around 1900, the wool they produced began their road to Europe, precisely in this place. Caravans of “flat wool” traveled this route linking the estancias with Río Gallegos. Each formation consisted of several flat, each one of them for about 18 horses and mules, on a journey that demanded about 20 days.
Many of them today they are part of the Nibepo Aike landscape. At the end of the road, about 56 km from Calafate, privileged located within the Park Los Glaciares National Park and on the South Arm of Lake Argentino; more than 12,000 ha of surface, Nibepo Aike keeps still the essence of the old Patagonian rooms.
The wool origin of the Estancia gave way to the breeding of cattle of the breed Heresford, with which they have developed a prestigious cabin and home, converted into a Country Inn, receives visitors from different parts of the world, which coexist daily with rural life.
The main house is a typical Patagonian construction turned into Hostería de Campo, which preserves its original characteristics, atmospheres warm, with its old wooden floors and fireplace.
Guests will be able to participate in rural activities, which vary from according to weather conditions. Various trails, which can be
go on foot on horseback or by bicycle, allow you to explore the corners of the estancia, discover its flora and fauna, and from certain vantage points you can see the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Hidden Glaciers of the National Park.
