All about the FD Torres del Paine.

Discover in a full day excursion Torres del Paine National Park (Chile), considered one of the eighth wonders of the world. Located in the heart of Southern Patagonia, 300 kms south of El Calafate, it is considered one of the most beautiful parks in the world for its curious and unique conformation of mountains, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, flora and fauna.

Crossing the Patagonian steppe from north to south we will arrive at the Cancha Carrera border crossing (approximately 2.30 hrs), from where we will start touring the beautiful south of Chile until entering the Torres del Paine National Park (which means Blue in the Tehuelche language, in reference to the predominant color), around 11:30 am we will make the first panoramic stop at Lake Sarmiento with the Cordillera Paine in front of us.

Once in the Park, we will make various stops with and without descending the vehicle to contemplate lakes, waterfalls, and we will even be able to watch foxes and guanacos, and perhaps pumas, among other native animals.

Aboard our OVERLAND 4X4 TRUCKS we will visit strategic points, from where we will undertake walks that allow us to access the panoramic viewpoints of the most important natural attractions of the Park.

By default we do a walk of low technical difficulty and minimal physical demand. The walk is done in the company of our trekking guides authorized by CONAF – Chile.

In the Amarga Lagoon, taking advantage of the potential of our 4x4s, we will skirt the lagoon along its sandy coasts, to access the best panoramic view of the Torres del Paine. There we stop for a short walk.

Then we will continue to the Paine Waterfall where we will go down to have a picnic at the Río Paine ridge with views of Las Torres. Lunch is outdoors and in nature, protected by the vegetation or even inside our Overland trucks if the weather doesn’t suit us.

Once underway again, and after making stops at various viewpoints such as Laguna de los Cisnes and Mirador Superior del Nordenskjold, we will arrive at Salto Grande, from where a guided walk of approximately 1:30 hrs is made to the Mirador de los Cuernos del Paine on the shores of Lake Nordenskjold.

After this walk, you continue in the vehicle to a new viewpoint, this time near Lake Pehoe, from where you will have one of the most famous views of the National Park, with the Horns and the Valle del Francés in the background, framed by the Pehoe and Nordenskjold lakes, from there you will also see the Mounts Paine Grande and Almirante Nieto

Then we start the return to El Calafate, arriving at the hotels around 9:30 p.m.
